Before we get into this tasty recipe, let’s cover some quick recipe FAQs!

What is chia pudding?
You won’t find this pudding in the snack aisle! Chia seeds are high in soluble fiber, so when they are mixed with liquid, a pudding-like texture is achieved. Chia pudding is a delicious and simple breakfast that can be made the night before, and can be customised to meet your teen’s dietary preferences and needs.

What is DHA?
DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that is essential for maintaining brain function in teens and adults. A diet sufficient in DHA supports learning and attention! This healthy fat can be found in foods such as fatty fish, nuts and seeds. Ramp! Up the Day is also a great source of DHA!

What is theanine?
Theanine is a naturally-occuring amino acid that has been known to help reduce stress and anxiety, without causing drowsiness. This nutrient can be found in green and black teas, as well as in some varieties of mushrooms. Ramp! Up the Day is also a tasty and convenient source of theanine that can be included in your teen’s daily routine.

How can I improve my teen’s focus throughout the day?
Teens already have so much on their mind, so providing healthy choices to support brain function is a must. Starting the day with a nutritious and satiating breakfast is essential for focus and attention — it’s hard to stay focused when you are hungry! We love that this recipe delivers essential nutrients to support brain function, and packs an even bigger punch by adding chia seeds and nut butter.

What toppings should I pair with this recipe?
This recipe can be easily customised to your teen’s preferences. We recommend adding your teen’s favourite fruit for a flavor and nutrition boost. Adding nut butter to this recipe provides satiety and healthy fats, however you can also achieve this by adding tahini or yogurt instead!
